Chuchotage, also known as a whisper, occurs when one person or a small group requires translation during a speech. The interpreter whispers solely to the small target audience. Lingualink Solutions, translation & interpreting services, has been responsible for chuchotage interpretation in exhibitions, presentations on mobility and business negotiations in Europe, North America and Latin America. A clear example of chuchotage can be when you are in a meeting and a small group of people (no more than five) do not speak the language used in the room. This people are located close to the interpreter while he speaks only to this group, interpreting in their desired language with a low-key voice, in order to avoid interfering with the main speech.
