CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION

Consecutive, as it is commonly known in the industry, is the technique in which an interpreter begins speaking after a person of the initial language finishes his or her speech. This speech is composed in sections. The interpreter stays close to the person while he is talking. When he finishes, the message is transmitted in the language requested by the listeners. Consecutive is commonly used in public statements, audits, diplomatic venues and meetings.
